CRM activities

An activity is one interaction with a contact, company, lead, or deal. This page logs each type and explains how activities link records together.

CRM concept: The value of a CRM grows with its history. Log every call, email, and meeting. Six months later, the timeline tells you and your team exactly what happened.

The five activity types

FlyCRM records five types of activity:

  • Note — a written detail after a conversation.
  • Task — a to-do with a due date and a status.
  • Email — a logged email interaction.
  • Call — a record of a phone call and its outcome.
  • Meeting — a scheduled or past meeting.

One activity can link to more than one record at the same time. For example, a call about a sale links to the contact and to the deal. The call then shows on both timelines.

This link means you read the full story from any angle:

  • Open a contact to see every interaction with that person.
  • Open a deal to see every interaction about that sale.
  • Open a company to see the account-wide history.

Read the timeline

Each record has an activity timeline. The newest item is at the top. The timeline mixes all five types in date order, so you read the interaction history as one story.
